What blogs I have and what I host them on

I have a number of blogs.
The two places I have blogs are on blogger.com and wordpress.com

My main blog is on wordpress.com: smartpeopleiknow.wordpress.com
I like wordpress: it has a nice user interface, nice themes, and it provides nice reporting. And it's free.

I like blogger.com too
It has good themes, less direct reporting, but you have more control over your look and feel. Also, you can put ads and other specialized content on a blogger blog: wordpress limits you.

I stick with wordpress because most of my traffic comes to that site and I am reluctant to switch over to blogger and potentially lose my traffic. I used to get around 500 visits a day. However, since the blog The Moment (on the NYTimes.com) took down their blog roll with my site on it, I get around 300-400 a day.

I also use a tumble log at tumblr.com and a posterous blog at posterous. I use the tumble log as an aggregator of all the things I am talking about combined into one blog. I use the posterous blog as a first draft site. I am going to send this to you and the posterous site so that I have a record of it. If people ask me again, I can just point to posterous. :)

I use a tool called ScribeFire for blogging. I often blog in response to something I read on the web. Scrirbefire allows me to do that easily since I mainly surf using Firefox.
Others tell me that Windows Live Writer is better. I haven't looked into it enough.

I'll add a vote to Windows Live Writer, they did a very good job with it. I would be using it when I start blogging again.
