On why we need to start to call Politicians what they are: Legislators, and not leaders (or thiefs)

If you ask people what politicians do, you will get all kinds of answers,
from "provide leadership" to "rip the people off". They may do all of those
things, but the main thing they do is legislate. They create laws. They may
hold hearings, make statements, fundraise and do any number of things, but
their main job is to create laws that govern the country. I would argue
that they don't even govern the country: many public servants do that on
our behalf. Politicians are meant to represent us and our views when it
comes to creating legislation that governs their jurisdiction. As for leaders: anyone can be a leader (just like anyone can be a thief).
However, their main job is to legislate and write and amend laws. Food for thought
