Why you should always have spinach around and toss it in everything

Look at this nutrition chart: a 1/2 cup of spinach has 15 calories, 40% of
your daily vitamin A and 20% of your vitamin C. Plus it has calcium and
iron. It's nature's vitamin! And practically no calories.

You can add it to salads of course, but you can also wilt it in a frying
pan during a stirfry or a saute, or you can toss it in a soup or any tomato
sauce. Even Campbell's tomato soup can be a nutritional pick up with some
spinach in it.

You should eat your greens, and spinach should be on top of the list of
your go-to-greens.

Hey, I was just telling the girls this very thing tonight!
    Popeye was right! lol!
Spinach is the most nutrient packed, & fibre-rich foods you can eat!
And it's so versatile, too! (Use fresh, in salads, on sandwiches in place of lettuce, cooked as a side veg, in spanakapita, in lasagne etc.....you can even juice it.)
Tonight I chopped up a bunch of it, wilted it in a skillet with a little olive oil, and tossed it in with some pesto linguine. Then topped it off with a chunky vegetarian pasta sauce.
    Deee-licious! ; 9
