How to make it easier to tie your kids skates - get new laces

When I bought new skates for my son, I struggled with tightening the laces.
I thought it was not the laces but the fault of the skate that it was hard
to tighten them. This week I bought new laces for a number of reasons. What
a difference the new laces make in tightening the skates! They are thinner
and waxed and tightly woven. Good stuff.

When I got my last pair of expensive figure skates about 5 yrs ago, they had crappy laces too.
(Way too wide & all cotton, which made them virtually impossible to tighten properly!)
....You ought to consider getting YOURSELF a new pair of skates, too! (And insist that they throw in, good quality laces as part of the deal! : )
